 Community Employment Bulletin Board (CEBB)

The CEBB allows employers to find out about local and statewide Job Fairs and other employment related events.  Your open positions can be listed here as well as your company profile.

  Kentucky Employer Council

The Kentucky Employer Council and the Local Job Service Employer Committees (JSEC) are employer committees whose input enables the Department for Employment Services to provide the highest quality service possible to employers and job seekers alike. If you are interested in participating or would just like to find out more about these committees you may contact Corline Schnitzen by telephone at 502-564-7456 or by email to: Corline.Schnitzen@mail.state.ky.us

Employers listing their openings with the DES Job Bank (859-371-0808) may request that their positions be released for media advertisement through DES, allowing them to reach a portion of the labor force that is often missed by other traditional recruitment efforts.

Job seekers looking for that first job, next job, a better job, or a whole new career, can pursue their job search by tuning into Job Connections for job listings which include a wide range of positions, salaries, benefits, and requirements in entry level, technical, medical, and professional fields.

      Older Workers

The One Stop Career Alliance of Northern Kentucky Center located at 8020 Veterans Memorial Drive has representatives from the Community Action Agency Older Worker Program on-site Monday through Friday.  Sandy or Ellen may be contacted at 85-371-0808.  These staff work in conjunction with the DES staff in an effort to enhance our services to the older worker.

Older Workers who may have been overlooked in the job market in the past are now finding themselves to be a hot product in today’s economy. Older workers are now a significant resource in the labor force. Employers who do not make this discovery will continue to struggle to find the skilled workers needed to compete effectively in this strong economy.

There are many organizations available to assist older workers re-enter the work force, upgrade their skills and find suitable employment. In Northern Kentucky the Community Action Agency is one of the organizations that provides information to educate the older worker, the employer and the local community about the value of the older worker and the training opportunities and other resources available to facilitate the employment of older workers.
